Quick start guide
Get started with Speak in 5 easy steps

Step 1: Upload your media

Click the "Upload Media" button in the top right corner of your screen to start uploading your media into Speak Ai.
You can then choose to either:
    Upload a file
    Upload media through a URL
Upload media through a file or URL


Step 2: Transcribe and analyze your media

Once your file is uploaded you'll be prompted to pay for your transcription and analysis:

You have a set number of minutes per month included in your subscription plan (60 minutes in the free trial). If you have a sufficient balance in your account your payment amount should be $0.
Click "Confirm and Pay" and Speak will start transcribing and analyzing your file.
You should see a confirmation screen when done:

Currently our automatic transcription works with a 1:1 ratio. For example, if you are transcribing a 10 minute file, it will take 10 min or less for your file to be be completely transcribed and analyzed by Speak.
You can keep an eye on progress by going into the "Video" tab in your sidebar and clicking on the file you uploaded:

When your transcript and analysis is ready you will receive a notification in-app as well as an email informing you that the request is complete.

Step 3: Review your transcript

Once your file is transcribed and analyzed you are able to review and edit as necessary.
On the file dashboard, the second tab allows you to review your transcript and navigate through your media file by clicking on the interactive text.

You can make any edits to your transcript using the in-built transcript editor to bring it up to 99% accuracy.

Step 4: Review your analysis

Named Entity Recognition

The first tab allows you to get an overview of all the important words and entities in your file.
You can edit these categories to remove specific irrelevant words or even delete entire categories.

Sentiment Analysis

The third tab contains a line-by-line breakdown of sentiment in your uploaded file. Use Speak's sentiment analysis to find positive, neutral and negative mentions and moments in your media.

Step 5: Export and share

When you are ready to share your content with the world, you can easily export and share in different ways.

You can export your content in multiple formats:
Export your file in common formats
If you just want your transcript and analysis, you can export your file as a doc or pdf.
If you're looking to add captions or subtitles, you would export it as a vtt or srt file.
You can also just export your file as-is.
Sharing your content
It's easy to share your content with Speak. Just hit share and you'll be able to generate an SEO-friendly, interactive media player that contains your insights and transcript.
You can customize your player with various options including adding background images, your logo and matching your brand colour. This makes it simple to integrate the Speak player using your existing brand guidelines.
Other customizations include making the player privately or publicly accessible, search engine indexing and choosing which insights categories you want to display.
If you set up a Wordpress integration you can start posting your content directly to your site with a single click.
