No Playable Duration Found

Overview

This error message indicates that the system was unable to detect any playable content within the file you uploaded. This can happen for a few reasons, preventing your audio or video from being processed correctly.

Understanding why this error occurs will help you quickly resolve the issue and ensure your files are uploaded successfully.

How It Works

When you upload a file, the system analyzes its structure to determine if it contains valid media streams and a playable duration. If this analysis fails, the "No Playable Duration Found" error is triggered.

Getting Started

To access this feature, go to Upload in your dashboard.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter the "No Playable Duration Found" error, follow these steps to fix it:

  • Check File Integrity: Try playing the file on your local computer using a media player like VLC. If it doesn't play, the file may be corrupted.

  • Check Duration: Right-click on the file and select "Properties." If the duration is displayed as '00:00:00', the upload will fail.

  • Re-Export: Open the original editor or converter used to create the file and re-export it. We recommend using standard MP4 (H.264) for video or MP3 for audio.

  • Check Codec: Some specialized recording formats, such as CCTV footage or raw streams, may require conversion before they can be uploaded.

Error Code: NO_DURATION_FOUND: This internal code specifically means that the file's header information is unreadable by the system.

Next Steps

Ready to get started? Here's what to do next:

  • Login to your account and navigate to the Uploads section.

  • Try uploading a known good file to confirm your upload process is working.

  • Re-export your problematic file using the recommended formats (MP4 or MP3) and try uploading it again.
